Troops of the Nigerian Army, working with a team from the Office of the National Security Adviser, ONSA, have arrested a suspected terrorist during a snap checkpoint operation along the Lokoja–Abuja highway in Kogi State, security sources said on Thursday.
According Zagazola Makama, a security analyst , rhe operation was carried out at about 6:55 a.m. on May 1 at Chikara North in Koton Karfe Local Government Area, following what sources described as “actionable intelligence.” Troops of 176 Guards Battalion mounted the checkpoint and intercepted a commercial vehicle transporting pineapples from Ughelli, Delta State, to Abuja.
