2027 Elections: Retired Military Officer Warns Nigerians Against Lack Of Knowledge

A retired Army officer, Lt. Col. Adekunle Adewusi (retd.), has warned Nigerians ahead of the 2027 general elections, urging citizens to seek knowledge and spiritual discernment to avoid political manipulation.
Adewusi, who described himself as the Military Assistant (Spiritual) to Jesus Christ, made the assertion in a press statement he personally signed and released in Ado-Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital. The statement was titled “Political campaigns for the 2027 General Election.”
In the statement, the retired officer claimed that political activities ahead of 2027 were geared towards sustaining what he described as bondage across the nation. According to him, Nigerians are being destroyed for lack of knowledge and have gone into captivity due to ignorance.
He said: “All Nigerian politicians are now building their political campaigns for the 2027 general elections both on and for the sustenance of the bondage of all Nigerians which are in all the land of the nation of Nigeria that now is.For this cause, Nigerians are destroyed for lack of knowledge.
For this cause also, Nigerians are gone into captivity because they have no knowledge: and their honourable men are famished, and their multitude dried up with thirst”
He warned that without proper understanding, citizens risk being led astray by political campaigns.
Adewusi, who holds qualifications in Radio Relay Carrier and Wire Communications from Pakistan, served as Director of Telecommunications at Independence Building, Lagos, from 1979 to 1982.
He also served as Commanding Officer of the Giwa Project (Presidential Communication) under the military administration of former Head of State, Gen. Ibrahim Babangida (retd.).
