Turkish Airlines Expands Lagos Operations to 10 Weekly Flights

Turkish Airlines, the airline flying to more countries than any other in the world, is expanding its Nigerian network with additional frequencies on its Istanbul-Lagos route to meet growing demand for travel between Lagos and Türkiye and onward destinations.

The airline announced that Lagos frequencies will increase from 7 to 10 weekly flights from December 11, 2026, providing travelers with greater flexibility and more convenient access via Istanbul to its global network. The move is supported by its growing fleet of over 560 aircraft and a network of more than 350 destinations across Europe, Asia, the Middle East and the Americas.

According to the airline, the expansion follows the increase of its Istanbul-Abuja services to seven weekly flights from June 2026, further strengthening connectivity between Nigeria and Türkiye and reinforcing Nigeria as a key market in Africa.

The additional Lagos services are expected to support both business and leisure travel, offering passengers more options and seamless connections through its hub at Istanbul Airport, one of the world’s busiest and most connected airports.

Turkish Airlines noted that Business Class passengers connecting through Istanbul will continue to enjoy access to its award-winning Business Lounge at Istanbul Airport, enhancing the overall travel experience across its long-haul network.
