Fourteen kidnapped victims, including a military personnel, an EFCC operative, a University of Calabar student and a JAMB candidate, have been rescued unhurt in Akwa Ibom State following a joint security operation.
Security sources said the rescue came after the kidnap incident was first reported on 20 April. A coordinated operation involving multiple agencies led to the recovery of all victims without injuries.
Efforts are ongoing to track and apprehend the perpetrators for prosecution, the sources added.
