Activist Martins Otse, aka VeryDarkMan, has debunked Police claim that the Force Criminal Investigation Department, Abuja invited him on July 30 to substantiate corruption allegations against AIG Moshood Jimoh, describing it as an obvious lie.
In a video where he held a snake before the Ratel Movement emblem, VDM challenged Police to publish evidence and receipt of the Abuja invite, saying neither he nor his lawyers received it. He said the only invite he got was dated July 31 from NPF National Cybercrime Centre, Lagos.
The dispute stems from VDM’s allegation that officers under Jimoh, as former Lagos Commissioner, framed businessman Ahmed Tajudeen Akanbi for murder of Sheriff Salami. VDM said the original suspect video confessed cultism killing, but Jimoh’s report pinned murder on Akanbi.
VDM said he does not trust the closed-door administrative panel, calling it a smokescreen, and said the probe will only be credible if public and broadcast live. He wants Channels, Arise, AIT to cover, with NBA, ICPC, NSA, House of Reps Disciplinary Committee as independent observers.
He said panel must compare conflicting reports from Panti and Jimoh, torture claims by suspects, and original confessional video, stressing it is “police vs police” not VDM manufacturing evidence.
He insisted all documents he posted are public court records, said he is not a suspect but whistleblower for justice system, and is ready to appear with lawyers, board and pen if invite is sent officially, while urging Police to ask Jimoh to step aside pending investigation.
