NAF Airstrike Neutralises Bandits at Niger-Kaduna-Zamfara Border

The Nigerian Air Force, NAF, has carried out a precision airstrike on a major gathering of bandits at Dogon Dawa, along the strategic Niger–Kaduna–Zamfara border, disrupting a planned offensive against nearby communities.

The strike followed credible intelligence that a large concentration of armed bandits had assembled at the location to coordinate attacks. Hundreds of motorcycles, believed to have been assembled for the planned offensive, were also gathered at the site before the operation.

According to the Air Force, the airstrike hit the gathering with precision and neutralised a substantial number of the terrorists. A subsequent Battle Damage Assessment showed that several surviving terrorists, many of them wounded, fled in disarray towards the forests between Shadadi and Ma’undu via the Mangwaro axis.

The operation effectively disrupted the group’s plans and forced the bandits to abandon their offensive. The NAF said it remains committed to sustained air operations across the North-West and North-Central to degrade terrorist networks and protect vulnerable communities.
