Troops of 65 Battalion, in collaboration with the Nigeria Police and vigilantes, have rescued two civilians abducted from their farm at Igbonla in Epe Local Government Area of Lagos State.
The operation, which was conducted at about 10:30 a.m. on Sept. 4, 2026, followed information on the abduction of the two civilians.
During the operation, the security team engaged the suspected kidnappers, neutralising one of them, while two others fled into the surrounding bush and abandoned the victims.
The two rescued victims were found unhurt and subsequently handed over to the Nigeria Police, alongside the remains of the neutralised suspect, for further investigation and necessary action.
The operation was conducted under Operation MESA, as part of ongoing efforts to protect civilians and combat kidnapping and other criminal activities in Lagos State.
