LAGOS APC FIRES UP STATEWIDE CAMPAIGN: “THE MANDATE MUST CONTINUE

The Lagos State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), under the leadership of its State Chairman, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi, today formally commenced its governorship and House of Assembly election campaign, setting the stage for an extensive grassroots mobilisation across the State ahead of the forthcoming elections.

The commencement of the campaign marks a significant phase in the party’s preparations as the APC moves from internal organisation and mobilisation into full-scale engagement with Lagosians across the 20 Local Government Areas and 37 Local Council Development Areas of the State.

According to Ojelabi, the campaign will be anchored on continuity, consolidation, renewed progress and victory, with strong emphasis on presenting the party’s record in government and its vision for the future of Lagos State.

The Lagos APC Chairman said the party enters the campaign with confidence, a well-established grassroots structure and a clear understanding of the importance of the forthcoming elections to the continued development of the State.

He said the election presents an opportunity for Lagosians to sustain the State’s current trajectory of development and progress.

Ojelabi also reaffirmed the importance of the political legacy of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, whose leadership and progressive political tradition, he noted, have played a defining role in the evolution of Lagos politics and governance.

He said the party would take its message directly to the people through extensive engagements across communities, wards, local governments, traditional institutions, professional groups, women and youth organisations, market associations and other critical stakeholders.

“From Alimosho to Epe, Badagry to Ikorodu, and Lagos Island to Ikeja, our mobilisation machinery will be fully activated to ensure that our message reaches every segment of Lagos,” Ojelabi said.

The Chairman called on party leaders and members to close ranks, intensify grassroots mobilisation and work collectively towards securing a decisive electoral victory for the APC.

“We are not campaigning merely to participate. We are campaigning to win and continue the work of building a stronger and more prosperous Lagos,” he said.

He urged party members and supporters to remain united, disciplined and focused throughout the campaign, stressing that every ward, every community and every vote will count in determining the outcome of the elections.

He further assured Lagosians that the APC campaign would be issue-driven, focused on the aspirations and expectations of the people, while respecting democratic values, the electoral process and the laws governing elections.

Ojelabi said the objective of the campaign was clear: to mobilise the people, earn their confidence and deliver victory for the progressive political family at the polls.

He therefore called on Lagosians who believe in continuity, stability, development and progressive governance to join the movement and support the APC as the party begins its campaign for the next chapter of Lagos State.

Reiterating the party’s determination to secure victory at the polls, Ojelabi declared:

“The work must continue. The gains must be protected. The mandate must be renewed.”
