Chubuzor Anasihwe, Uchena Steven and Ejike Ani are the three suspects arrested over alleged robbery attacks along the Ife Expressway in Osun State.
Police said the gang allegedly snatched five vehicles and stole valuables worth about ₦50 million during attacks on August 23 and September 30, 2026. One Toyota van has been recovered.
According to Ejike Ani’s alleged confession, the gang encountered the monarch’s vehicle after another robbery. He claimed a member identified as Obinna took the monarch’s bag, which reportedly contained cash, his crown and other valuables.
Ani also alleged that the gang used sticks shaped like guns and wrapped in cello tape during their operations.
Police said investigations are ongoing to arrest other suspected members and recover the remaining vehicles and weapons.
