Zamfara Community under Bandits Siege for Seven weeks

For more than seven weeks, the community of Danjibga town in Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara State has been under siege by armed bandits.
According to local sources, the bandits have completely surrounded the town, setting up blockades and preventing any movement in or out of the community. Residents are unable to leave, and no one is allowed to enter.
Supply routes have been cut off, restricting access to food, medicine, and other essential services. As a result, many people are reportedly falling ill and facing severe hardship amid the prolonged isolation.
Nearby communities members are appealing to the Nigerian Army, the Nigeria Police Force, the Department of State Services (DSS), and the Zamfara State Government to urgently intervene and rescue the people of Danjibga and surrounding villages.
The local sources describe the situation as a deepening humanitarian emergency that demands immediate security and relief response.
