Remo Stars to Play Comoros League Winner, US Zilimadjou in CAF Champions League preliminary round
The Winner of Nigeria Professional Football League 2024/25 Season, Remo Stars will take on Comoros club US Zilimadjou in the first preliminary round of the CAF Champions League.
Remi Stars will host the first leg at their home turf in Ikenne next month. The winner of the tie will advance to face South African giants Mamelodi Sundowns in the second preliminary round.
Nigeria’s other representative, Rivers United, will battle the Democratic Republic of Congo champions in their opening fixture. If they progress, Finidi George’s men will meet either AC Leopards of Congo or Mozambique’s Black Bulls in the next stage.
Preliminary round matches are scheduled for September 19–21 and 26–28, 2025, while second preliminary round games will be held between October 17–19 and October 24–26
