NAFDAC uncovers fake health-care Centre operated by Missionaries in Port – Harcourt

Anti- narcotics agency, the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control has uncovered a fake healthcare operation at the Community Town Hall in Abuloma, Port Harcourt, where individuals posing as missionaries were administering unregistered drugs and products to unsuspecting residents under the guise of free medical evangelism.
In a statement on its X(formerly Twitter) page , the agency disclosed that reports revealed that some users suffered adverse effects, including swollen eyes, which the fake operator falsely described as signs of healing.
“During the raid, a woman identified as Mrs. Gladies Theophilus was arrested, while the main suspect fled and remains at large.NAFDAC has evacuated the counterfeit products to its zonal office and launched a full investigation. ”
The Agency urges the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious healthcare activities to the nearest NAFDAC office.
