A tragic incident has occurred in Matadangwoni Village, via Auna District, Magama Local Government Area, Niger State when Shalbal Yusuf allegedly killed Lusha Alhaji Washa, also known as Muyaye, 30, after accusing him of having an affair with his wife.
The incident reportedly occurred at about 12:30 a.m. on Wednesday when Yusuf allegedly caught his wife with Washa. In the ensuing confrontation, Yusuf is said to have attacked Washa with a machete, inflicting severe injuries to his head and neck.
The injured man was rushed to the General Hospital, Auna, where he later died while receiving treatment. The body was photographed and deposited at the hospital for autopsy.
Efforts are ongoing by the police to apprehend Yusuf, who remains at large, as the circumstances surrounding the incident continue to be investigated.
