Former CAF/FIFA Instructor and Former Nigeria national team coach, Festus Adegboye Onigbinde, is dead.He was 88 years Old .
His passing, three days after his birthday, was announced by one of his daughters, Mrs Bolade Adesuyi, who described him as a devoted father, husband, grandfather, and an unequalled football tactician.
The Modakeke ( Osun State) High Chief was the first indigenous head coach of the National Team at the 1984 AFCON .His first stint ran from 1981 to 1984, culminating in a second-place finish at the 1984 Africa Cup of Nations, while his second time in charge of the Super Eagles was at the 2002 FIFA World Cup.
