The Independent National Electoral Commission has released the final list of political parties and candidates cleared to participate in the August 8, 2026, Osun State governorship election.
In a statement by the commission’s Public Relations Officer in Osun State, Musa Olurode, 14 political parties were listed as cleared for the poll.
The parties include Accord, Action Alliance, African Action Congress, African Democratic Congress, Action Democratic Party, All Progressives Grand Alliance, All Progressives Congress, Allied Peoples Movement, Action Peoples Party, Boot Party, New Nigeria Peoples Party, Peoples Redemption Party, Young Progressive Party, and Zenith Labour Party.
The Peoples Democratic Party and the Labour Party were not included in the list released by the commission.
INEC said the full list of governorship and deputy governorship candidates for the cleared parties is available on its website and notice boards in Osogbo.
