The Ogun State Commissioner of Police, Lanre Ogunlowo, on Sunday confirmed the abduction of six marketers working with a Lagos-based real estate company at Oyebola village in Obafemi-Owode Local Government Area of the state.
The victims were kidnapped while carrying out an inspection of the company’s land, the commissioner said, adding that police operations were underway to track the abductors.
The incident has triggered fresh public concern over rising insecurity nationwide.
This is comong few days after the State’s command allayed the fears of the residents from the circulation of video clips on social media in which an unidentified individual issues threat against certain communities and tertiary institutions in the State.
