Police arrest suspect in connection with the stabbing of a pregnant woman in Maiduguri.

A five months pregnant woman sustained multiple stab wounds following an alleged attack by an intruder at her home in Njentilo, Maiduguri, Borno State.
Security expert Zagazola Makama revealed that the incident occurred on Monday, October 20, around 1:30 p.m., when Halima Ali Maina, 20, of Polo, Maiduguri, reportedly entered the victim’s room without consent.
The intruder allegedly attacked the victim, Aisha Musa, with a knife, inflicting injuries on her stomach, chest, back, and face.
Musa was immediately taken to Umaru Shehu Ultra Modern Hospital, where she is currently receiving treatment and responding to care. The suspect was apprehended by the Borno Police, and the knife used in the attack has been recovered as evidence.
Sources said that the police are investigating the case as culpable homicide with grievous hurt, with the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) leading the inquiry.
