DELTA POLICE CAPTURE ALLEGED ARMED ROBBERS, CULTISTS,RECOVER WEAPONS, FIREARMS

The Delta State Police Command, headed by the Commissioner of Police, Olufemi Abaniwonda has accomplished another feat in the battle against crime and criminality.
.As disclosed in a statement by the Command’s image maker, SP Edafe Bright, the latest feat involved the arrest of suspected cultists, armed robbers, and the recovery of their firearms in three separate operations.
Following credible intelligence related to cult activities within Ibusa Town, operatives of CP-Special Assignment Team (CP-SAT) apprehended one Oluwatobi Olugbemi, a 29-year-old native of Ikenne-Remo community in Ijebu-Ode LGA of Ogun State, residing at Ogboli quarters of Ibusa town, on September10,2025. A search warrant executed at his residence resulted in the recovery of a Beretta pistol loaded with one round of ammunition. The suspect confessed to membership in the Supreme Vikings Confraternity, also known as ‘ARROW BARGER’.
In a separate incident, operatives of Safe Delta were conducting a surveillance patrol along DBS road when they came across a group of boys engaging in a fight and affray, with one of them armed with a cutlass. The operatives quickly responded and arrested Raphael Chukwuemeka M’, a 23-year-old male, while recovering a cut-to-size Double Barrel Pistol with seven live cartridges. The suspect is currently being held in custody, and the investigation is ongoing.
Additionally, operatives of Safe Delta conducted a stop and search operation at Head bridge Asaba on at approximately 1030 hours on September 10, intercepted three young men, identified as Solomon Offor, aged 22, Ifesinachi Nwankeze, aged 19, and Ambrose Ugwuba, aged 23. Upon searching the suspects and their motorcycle, a locally made single barrel cut-to-size gun, cartridges, and a dagger concealed in a bag were recovered. The suspects are currently being held in custody, and the investigation is ongoing.
