Resident Association petitions Police , alleges Couple’s life at risk inside residential estate

 The Exco members of a rresident association, Millenium Housing Estate, Ijaiye, Lagos  has formally petitioned the Lagos State  Police Command  over continous attack and  threats made against a Common Law  couple, Mr Soyebi Olanrewaju and Miss Lawal Abiodun who are resident of the Estate
According to the petition seen by our correspondent,  it outlined the specific threats and requests an investigation to the matter before it escalate into religious crisis.

The petitionr says  “The Excos of the Millenium Housing Estate, Ijaiye wants to bring to the attention of the public and security agents of the continuous attack on a couple living in the Estate, Mr Soyebi Olanrewaju and Miss Lawal Abiodun. The attack is from the wife’s father and Muslim family, who also belong to a traditional fraternity group. The couple are christians and attend a white garment church. With the presence of a mosque and lots of muslims in the Estate, we don’t want a religious crisis of breakdown of law and order in the estate.Despite the couple fleeing the Estate, the religious attackers are still parading the Estate. We want the security agents to take note.”

The Exco further said the petition serves as a formal notification to the police, requesting their intervention to investigate ,address the threats.and is acting on behalf of other  residential members demonstrating their collective responsibility for the safety and security of all residents.

When our Correspondent visited the Estate , a source who pleaded anonymous,  revealed that the  continuous attack and  threat  to life started when the wife , Miss  Lawal Abiodun who’s  from a Muslim background  converted to Christianity religion and now presently a strong worshipper and member of a white garment Church.
The image maker of Lagos Police Command,  Benjamim Humdeyin, when contacted disclosed that he was in a weekly security meeting with the Commissioner and promised to get back on the matter
