Miscreants kill Uber driver as Police raid hideout in Abuja

Assailants have killed a 38-year-old Uber driver, Mr Vincent Bala, during an attack on Takushara Village in the Kabusa axis of Abuja.
The incident took place at approximately 3:30 a.m. on Sunday when the assailants stormed the village and demanded to see the manager of the bakery.
In a tragic turn of events, Bala was stabbed to death after being mistaken for the manager, subsequent to a robbery in which the family’s two mobile phones, cash, and other valuables were stolen. Medical professionals at Garki General Hospital confirmed his death upon arrival. The corpse is currently being held at the hospital’s mortuary.
Sources say police operatives have launched an investigation to track down the perpetrators.
In a related development,a total of 52 suspects have been arrested in Abuja following raids on criminal hideouts and uncompleted buildings across the city by the Police
According to reports, the operation, which occurred on Sept. 14 around 11:45 p.m., was executed by operatives from Nyanya, Maitama, Gwagwa, Dawaki, Gwarinpa, Asokoro, Karu, Jikwoyi, Mpape, Lokogoma and Utako Divisions.
During the operation, substances believed to be Indian hemp, along with other illicit substances, were seized. The suspects are currently in custody undergoing evaluation and questioning at the respective divisions.
